Ashoka was one of te greatest rulers in indian history.Ashoka the Great, was an Indian emperor of the Maurya Dynasty who ruled almost all of the Indian subcontinent from  269 BCE to 232 BCE. In about 260 BCE Ashoka waged a bitterly destructive war against the state of Kalinga (modern Odisha). After seeing the destruction he turned a new leaf and become one the greatest promoters of peace in his era.
