the dendrites sense the chemical impulse and change it into electrical impulse , then the impulse travels in the form of electrical signal in the neuron at the axonal end it is released in the gap between two neuron called synapse there the impulse again changes in chemical form which is sensed by dendrite and the same process takes place , in this way impluse travels in human body .... hope it helped
