The liver produces bile which emulsifies fats i.e. breaks them down into small droplets for a larger surface area. This will increase the rate at which the fat is digested by lipase. Bile also neutralizes the acid produced by the stomach to provide ideal alkaline conditions for enzymes in the small intestine.

Hey friend,

Here is the answer :-

➡ The digested food from the stomach reaches to the duodenum, where the secreted bile by the liver easily mixes up. But as in bile no enzyme exists and it is basically an alkaline fluid which converts acidic chyme into the alkaline substance.

Also the fat of the chyme is transformed into the emulsion by mixing the water with the bile.

I hope this will help you....
