Birds have a common urogenital pouch called a cloaca. In other words, rather than have separate openings for reproduction, defecation and urination, everything goes into the cloaca before being expelled out of the body through the cloacal opening.

For some reason, most birds lack a penis. Notable exceptions include ducks and their relatives as well as the ratites (ostriches, emus and their relatives). For birds with a penis, mating is as per usual, the male inserting his penis into the female’s cloaca. Other birds simply touch the openings of their cloacas, known as a ‘cloacal kiss’, and the male transfers his sperm to the female’s cloaca in the process. It happens quite quickly - the male usually hops onto the female’s back, quickly tucks his tail under hers and then hops off before you are even aware anything has happened.

Hope it helps you

Thankyou

Answer:

Birds reproduce by internal fertilization, during which the egg is fertilized inside the female. Like reptiles, birds have cloaca, or a single exit and entrance for sperm, eggs, and waste. The male brings his sperm to the female cloaca. The sperm fertilizes the egg.
