The Civil Rights Movement was a struggle to end the white domination, oppression and injustice to Americans of color and finally live up to that all men are created equal truth that they have denied throughout our history. It isn’t done yet and with the last election we’ve taken a step back. As an American I apologize to the world and to humanity.

Black activists were killed or people were lynched.

Some of the students in SNIC became radicalized and broke off, but black power started earlier with Nat Turner and free Blacks running with John Brown.

People love to be free.

It’s a human right, which is more important than laws of anyone country.

Like the activists of the Civil Rights Movement, their goal was complete racial equality. The main differencebetween the two movements was that supporters of Black Power were prepared to use violent methods to achieve these goals. Proponents of theBlack Power Movement did not constitute a homogenous group.
