Bleaching powder is Calcium Oxychloride (CaOCl2)
Preparation : On passing chlorine gas through a test tube containing dry slaked lime Ca (OH)2 bleaching powder is produced.
Ca (OH)2+Cl2➡CaOCl2 +H2O
