In the region of injury the blood platelets rupture and release a substance called Thromboplastin.
Thromboplastin converts the protein prothrombin into thrombin.
Thrombin changes soluble protein called fibrinogen into fibrin.
Fibrin undergoes polymerisation to form blood clot and traps the blood Corpuscles. This stop the blood loss.
