While a ring on Emmett's engagement finger sparked talk that a wedding was in the wings, this has been denied by the couple.
The plain gold band was one of many plastic rings Emmett's family used to decorate the table at her grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary celebrations last weekend.
Emmett slipped one on her finger and forgot to take it off before attending the Spider-Man function.
Glowing with health and wearing her hair in a chic short shag, Emmett happily mingled with Spider-Man stars Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and Willem Dafoe at the White Bay Power Station in Rozelle, where the post-preview party was held.

The bad news came at a time when she'd just completed work on her first feature film, the Australian comedy The Nugget, with Eric Bana and was starring in the country's top TV drama, All Saints.
She has taken a break from All Saints, as she did from Home And Away, on which she was starring when first struck by the illness at the age of 24.
She underwent surgery to remove the cancerous lump from her left breast and this was followed by a five-week program of radiation treatment to ensure no cancer cells remained.
After getting the all-clear, Emmett was shocked to succumb to the disease once more but again vowed to fight the cancer.
Her positive attitude and the public support she has received have helped Emmett in her latest quest to overcome the illness.
Her family - parents Laraine and Michael and siblings Matthew, Shane and Lesley - have been a source of strength, as has McManus, who hosts Rove Live for Channel 10.
