Aliphatic carboxylic acid reacts with sodium carbonate and sodium bi-carbonate to give sodium ethanoate ,water and CO2 .....whereas it doesn't react with 2methoxy phenol

sukanya05: But why doesn't it reacts with 2methoxy phenol . What is the reason for this .
Maude: Though it is acidic... But not that acidic to give Co2 on reaction with sodium carbonate
Maude: If u like my answer pls mark as brainliest
Maude: It reacts with NaOH and give salt and water.... Which shows it's acidic.... But as it do not react with NaHCO3 it is said to be weakly acidic.... I hope u got it?
