When an object is kept between the focus and the lens the lens,the images formed is virtual erect and magnified.

when an object is placed between the optical center and first principal focus of a convex lens an erect magnified virtual image is formed on the same side of the object. this property of a convex lens os used for its application as a magnifying glass.
