By adding more manure and decreasing the amount of fertilisers.He could also add earthworms to the soil and prepare a vermi compost.Green manures are also good for the soil.

You can add sphagnum peat(its organic) or wood ash or anything else which is basic in nature(in accordance with how much acidic the soil is). This will help it to get neutralised.
