The  machine can multiply the effect of the human effort by by the law of equality of the the clockwise and anticlockwise moment.

Explanation:

  • in case of a machine there are three important parts that is the effort the load and the fulcrum.
  • The fulcrum is always at rest and hence the the moment is calculated based on the distance from the fulcrum.
  • Since the clockwise and anticlockwise moment are always equal hence if the the effort arm is more than the load arm then the moment due to them must be equal hence for more amount of load the effort is comparatively reduced.
