Iron is amagnetic material in the non-mag state.its molecular structure is in the form of loose magnetic chain or individual tiny magnets loosely arranged in a random pattern. The overall effect of this type of arrangement results in zero or tends to neutralise its neighbour.when this iron piece get magnetised using magnet,the random arrangement of molecules change and they are lined upin such a way that they produce a series of manetic arrangement
