VALUABLE RESOURCE:

A river can be valueable in many ways
one can generate electricity from river.
river provides pure drinking water to us.
river helps in irrigation to the farmers throughout the year.

PROBLEM FOR A REGION:
If the river is over flowing and by the time the dam is not contructed it may cause flood which can bring massive destruction and by that the economy of the region may greatly fall.
If chemicals are released in the river by factories then drinking that contaminated water there may be diffrent types of diseases.
