how can a solid be changed into liquid state? Explain on the basis of molecular theory.​

when solid reaches it's temperature of melting point, it can convert into liquid state. ex- if the ice is heated The energy of molecules increase. This means that some of the water molecules are able to over come the intermolecular forces that are holding together and the molecules move further apart forming liquid water.
