Adolescence is a very challenging time for anybody. There are physical as well as psychological transformations in a teenager during this time and he/she needs a well-informed, understanding and supportive adult to help deal with the change. The following are some aspects adults can help a teenager:

- Teenagers are prone to impulsive behaviour once in a while because of hormonal changes. Parents (or any other caregiver) should avoid reacting to these outburst and stay calm.

- Adults should shower a lot of love and motivate the adolescents. They should compliment the teenager about their physical as well as mental abilities so they feel confident about themselves.

- Performance in school is a huge stress for teenagers. Adults should avoid comparing them with other kids. They should praise them for their talents and skills to boost their confidence in themselves.

- Avoid criticising their friends in front of them. It is a learning stage for them and with your love and patience, they will learn to identify good and bad friendships.

Adolescence is a sensitive time of life for anybody. But it lasts only for a few years. The transition time is a time of learning about the world around. Patience and love are the only solutions to make a teenager become a healthy adult.

The only thing that never changes is “changes”.

It is a fact of life. It may be bad or good but it is an essential thing to keep the life move on in some way. Hardly, getting adapted to the changes is one of the worst nightmares of everyone. It will be hard, even for a well grown adult. For teenagers; it is even harder.

Every parent wants their child to rise up as a happy adult in the society. This means they work hard for an unknown outcome. Because, sometime, every hard work of the parents just get messed up, when some drastic changes interfere in their child’s life.

However, here, I have presented some points for your consideration to help your teen daughter or son to make them adapt their changes.

  • Teach you teen kid to see changes as a kind of opportunities. This will help them to get adapted to the changes in short period.
  • Remind your teen kid about their past, the past when they were in similar kind of situation.
  • Detail your teen son or daughter about the changes. Sometime, poor understanding of the situation makes them to go hard rounds with the changes.
  • Make your teen kids to feel safe and secure when they are with you.
  • Better save time to have chats with your teen. Sometime lack of enough chats with parents and kids has lead to some bad consequence.
  • Give ideas to your teen to make them to see the changes on different perspective.
