How can an ammeter be converted into a voltmeter?

I dont think they can be "Converted".

Explanation:

Voltmeter has a very high resistance, the reason for which it is connected in parallel, since it measures the potential difference. But the ammeter is connected in series, since it measures the amount of current flowing through it.  

As you can see, these are entirely different instruments with different configurations.
