●chromosomes are thread like structures with in each cell nucleus.
●it contain body's genetic blueprint.
●Each chromosome contain thousand of genes in specific location.
●human has 46 chromosomes , paired as 23.
●male=44+(XY)
●female=44+(XX)
●chromosomes can be identify by their size,number,centromere position and bending pattern.
●chromosomes are usually identified by staining with suitable dyes that give them a characterstic pattern. this is done after culturing the cell and stopping all of them at a particular stage of division called metaphase.and than preparing a slide to view under microscope. then, karyotype is prepared . karyotype is the no. and appearance of chromosomes in a nucleus of somatic cell...
