Crop rotation helps in maintaining fertility of the soil. Different plants need different nutrients and minerals from the soil. if only one type of crop is grown,the nutrients or minerals required by that particular crop is exhausted. This can be prevented by crop rotation as some plants take more from the soil while other plants add more nutrients to the soil. Hence, crop rotation helps in maintaining soil fertility.
