democracy helped in reserving seats especially for women in various situations like:-

in the third tier i.e. the pachayats on third of the seats are reserved for women to promote women empowerment.

in the legislative assembly, 10-15%of the seats are reserved for women so that they can can voice out their opinions about the society and its development.

thus from the above situations, we can tell that democracy adjusted the dignity of women.
