Democracy preserves the Right to Freedom for every citizen, irrespective of their genders.


Though mostly societies in the world are male dominated, democracy ensures to maintain the proper dignity of the women, by giving them equal respect in all fields as their male counterparts.


All caste discrimination are banned in a democracy, providing the same


Fundamental Rights and privileges to the so called lower castes as well.


Thus, these underprivileged people are given fair chances to grow like others.

Ans. (1) Democracy promotes the dignity and freedom of the individual. The passion for respect and freedoms the basis of democracy. 

(2)Democracies throughout the world have recognized this and also this has been achieved in various degrees in various democracies.

(3) Long struggles by women have created some sensitivity today that respect to and equal treatment of women are necessary ingredients of a democratic society.

 (4) Once the democracies have accepted this in principle, it became easier for women to wage a struggle against what is now unacceptable legally and morally.

(5) Democracy in India has strengthened the claims of the disadvantaged and discriminated castes for equal status and equal opportunities.
