How can displacement be negative

displacement can be negative positive or zero it will be negative depends upon the direction of the object the negative sign displacement just so that the object is moving opposite to an another object

Hey MATE!

Displacement is a vector quantity which has magnitude with directions so if the motion of object is in opposite direction of then displacement can be negative.
