how can ethanol and ethanoic acid be differentiated on the basis of their physical and chemical properties?
Answers
Physical. Acetic acid or ethanoic acid has vinegar like smell. ( while if you drink ethanol you may drunk..... just kidding... don't you dare to do so)
Chemical. ethanol gives iodoform test but ethanoic acid doesn't. I know it is weird that ethanoic acid is not giving this test but ethanol does. "Ethanol is the only alcohol which gives this test even with absence of CH³C=O branch and neither Carboxylic acid can give this test even if acetic acid has CH³C=O branch".
plz mark it as brainliest
