• The human circulatory system helps in the transportation in humans.
• The human circulatory system is a double system.
• The blood flows through two distinct circulations that is pulmonary circulation and systemic circulation.
• The right side of the heart pumps blood to the lungs, which returns to the left side of the heart.
• The left side pumps blood to the rest of the body, which returns to the right side of the heart.
• In pulmonary system, gaseous exchange takes place together Oxygen and eliminate carbon dioxide.
• In systematic system, the blood is pumped under high pressure to all parts of the body, to supply Oxygen and nutrients and take up carbon dioxide and other waste.
• In the heartbeat we hear lub dub sound.
• When cardiac muscles contract,pressure within the heart increases and the blood is forced out this is called systole.
• When cardiac muscles relax, the pressure within the heart decrease and the blood flow in the artery and ventricles, this is called diastole.
• A cardiac cycle includes all the events that takes place as the blood flows during one complete heartbeat.
• The events in cardiac cycle are : atrial diastole, ventricular diastole, atrial systole, and ventricular systole.
