TREATMENTS :-
1)Sedimentation- Solid wastes are removed by this method.
2) Neutralization - This method can be used for removal of acid
3) Brine treatments - This method can be used for removal of salts in wastes.

The treatment methods for factory wastes are often specific to the material which is being treated.
These methods mainly include advanced oxidation processing, vitrification, distillation, incineration, chemical immobilisation or landfill disposal.
Except forlandfill, all the other methods can be used before dumping industrial wastes in water bodies.
