A farmer can convert soil into neutral soil by adding more of manure, which enhances the soil structure and increases growth of earthworms. If the soil is acidic then it can be neutralized by adding nitrogenous bases like Ammonium Hydroxide (NH4OH). In this way, the nitrogen in the soil is also retained, and the acid is also neutralised.
