How can four resistors of resistance 4,8,12,and 24 ohm to be connected to get:
a. Highest resistance
b. Lowest resistance judge with calculation

Resistors=4,8,12,24

by formula,,,

Resistance in series,

Rs=R1+R2+R3+R4

=4+8+12+24

=48

Resistance in parallel,

Rp=1/ R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 + 1/R4

=(1/4)+(1/8)+(1/12)+(1/24)

with LCM 24....

= (1/4×24)+(1/8×24)+(1/12×24)+(1/24×24) whole divided

by24

we get ..

=6+3+2+1/24

=12/24

=1/2=0.5

therefore...,,

a)highest resistance is in series

b)lowest resistance is in parallel.
