harappa had a very modern type town planning just as our town planning these days....
they had their roads built at 90 degree angles and the built their road corners curved to avoid accidents. the houses and other monuments were built after having some gap between the road and them.
the drainage system was well covered with waterproof bricks and mortar which showed that they were health conscious too.
They built special monuments or great landmarks, in an organised manner which showed that they were very civilized.
OH and I didn't mention why they left some gaps in between their house and road... apparently they did that because the thought of the future i.e. the road might be broaden or or other possibilities.
they also built their home a little higher than the ground.
