At lower temperature the microorganism activity ceases. as the temperature increases the metabolic activity of microbes increases to some extent. after reaching a point again the metabolic activity of microbes decreases. These boundary values define the maximum and minimum temperature at which life can exist Each species of microbe has its own, unique upper and lower limit, which is characteristic for that species.
