How can I answer any question of literature if it's asked in present tense but is a story?

Answer:
will be in present continuous tense. i
i.e. ‘I am going first.’
In case of present perfect tense and present perfect continuous tense,answers will be in respective tenses only.
e.g. Q. ‘What have you done so far?’
A. ‘I have completed my weekly report.’
Q. ‘Who you had been referring there?’
A. ‘I had been referring to the small guy owning that grocery store.’

In literature question will past time then answer will be in past... but when question will present scenario then answer will be Present by that way we use both tense but it depends on the question....
