How can I calculate the mass percent of carbon, nitrogen and oxygen in acetamide, C2H5NO?

Hi there ,

☆ To calculate the mass percentage u have the mass of each element in the compound and the mass of compound using the following formula

☆ Element mass ÷ compound mass × 100

☆ If u don't have any details use the atomic mass and molar mass as the example above

● molar mass = 12×2 + 1×5 + 14 + 16

= 59 gm

● C% = 12×2 / 59 × 100 = 40.7 %

● O% = 16 / 59 × 100 = 27.11 %

● N% = 14 / 59 × 100 = 23.72 %
