Answer:

“Kids will be kids” is a famous saying suggesting that bullying is a normal part of growing up.

There are several steps which can reduce bullying in school:

  1. Have a clear definition of bullying: Know what bullying is and understand how it affects kids.
  2. Remove Labels; Address Behaviours: When a teacher points out that a kid is a bully or is a victim to bullying, the child feels embarrassed and this can cause problems later on too. The bully will bully someone again and the victim is likely to be his target.
  3. Set clear enforceable rules and expectations: Ask kids to follow rules and tell them which behaviour is expected from them. Set rules on the basis of the age of the kid. Set rules on positive terms. Set rules that cover multiple situations including bullying.
  4. Reward Positive Behaviour: When a student does something bad, it’s easy to point it out, especially if the student always seems to be in trouble. What if you caught him doing something good? Would you point it out? Point out the good things. And reward him so he can be encouraged to do more good behaviour.
  5. Have Open communication: When teachers have open communication with their students, their students will feel more open to talking to them about their problems—including bullying. So encourage having open communication.
  6. Engage parents: Keeping parents informed about their child’s grades, friends, behavior, and even attitudes in school is an important tool when addressing behaviors.

STEPS LIKE THESE CAN BE FOLLOWED TO REDUCE BULLYING IN SCHOOLS.
