First learn perfectly how to solve a Rubik’ cube by any method.
Then learn other methods which are faster than your method.
And the most important thing is practice a lot
I am telling this from personal experience. I used to solve the cube in about 1 minute 30 seconds but after a few weeks of practice, I am able to solve in the cube in less than a minute.

You need to practice everyday but do not burst your mind.The Rubik's cube is an interactive puzzle and gets easy after many practises.You need to practice first to solve it in 1 minute, then 40 seconds,then thirty seconds and finally 20 seconds.
