How can I solve the numericals of light chapter.There r lots of confusions related to signs..
Pls Help as soon as Possible..

Answer:

Think of the Mirror as the Cartesian Plane or XY plane. The X,Y axes is for Positive values, and X',Y' axes for Negative values. Where P , or O be the Origin of Mirror or Lens respectively.

If the Object is Upright (along Y axis ) h = +ve...

". Upsidedown (along Y' axis ) h = -ve

Similarly,

If anything is placed at the X' axis then the Value for that is -ve , Example Object Distance
