how can I write the observation of find objects which allow and do not allow light throught it experiment?​

Take a simple light source at a distance with the object

Take a wooden cube in between the light source and the intended display which can show the shadow of opaque

Take a Paper and rub some butter on it and keep it in between of the light source. No intended display needed.

in the wooden cube situation, the molecules of the object is strictly prohibiting any light to get through it.

In the butter paper, you can see it's translucent because the molecules in it is not very strict and allowing some light to go through it.
