How can iron have an electronic configuration of 2, 8, 14, and 2?
please give me answer as soon as it is urgent please don't copy answer from internet please this Q I have to explain my teacher tomorrow

The electronic configuration of iron is 2,8,16. And it's valency is 2. Because in its outer most cell 18 elections should be there to reaches the nearest Nobel gas stage so it's valency is 2.
