How can it happens that while fetching water from well we pull the rope in downward direction and bucket moves in upward direction . in short of class 8th

If the rope is pulled, the direction of the motion of the bucket with the full of water moves in an upward direction. If the rope is pushed, the direction of the motion of the bucket with the full of water moves in downward direction.

So, if we pull the rope downwards then the rope will move down in the direction of applied force .
So the rope part which is attached to bucket becomes less . As the rope part in the hand becomes more .
So the bucket rises up the pulley.
Here assume that spring constant value is negligible due to strong fibres in rope.
