How can matka can make water cool faster?

It cannot make water cooler but if cold water is stored in it then it will make the water remain cool.

In an earthen pot, water gets evaporated quickly through the pores. Cooling is caused by  the latent heat of evaporation is taken from the pot & and the water inside. Thus even warm but dry air of inland tropical areas make the water cool.
