The methods of extracting minerals are :-

Mining - It's the process of extracting minerals from rocks buried under the earth’s surface .

Drilling - It's the method used to bore deep wells to take out Petroleum and Natural gas that occur far below the earth’s surface .

Quarrying - The minerals that lie near the surface are just dug out .
