Eyeglasses and contact lenses are the best treatment options while nearsightedness is still changing. Another option is orthokeratology (ortho-k). This is the fitting of specially designed contact lenses that reshape the cornea of the eye to temporarily correct mild to moderate myopia.

These myopia control methods include specially designed contact lenses and atropine eye drops.

My preferred method of treating myopia and myopic progression in students is with the use of CRT (Corneal Refractive Therapy) contact lenses that are worn just while sleeping.

Currently, there is no cure for nearsightedness. But there are proven methods that can be prescribed by an eye doctor to slow the progression of myopia during childhood.
