non farm activities can be increased in rural areas in following ways =>
1) the government should provide capital to villagers for starting new business like opening shops , dairy farming etc
2) bank should be set up in villages to provide loans to farmers at low interest rate as it would help them in starting new business
3) people should be made literate so that they are qualified enough to start some educational business like computer training course
4) transportation facilities should be developed to connect rural areas to urban ones
5) industries should be set up in rural areas, to provide job opportunities to unemployed farm labourers
hope this helps
