Whenever a sound wave is created, our Earpinna collects it amd concentrates on it on our eardrum.
As sound produced vibrations those vibrations make our eardrum vibrates too. And after those vibrations are passed through the three bone namely Hammer, Envil and Stirrup and after that vibration though oval window passes into the Cochlea and then through the auditory nerve the sound is acrried to auditory cortex of our brain where the brain translates the signal into sound again.
