- Alert the residents early on using special broadcasts on television and radio services
- If there is prediction of flood and cyclone then the pedestrians should leave their residencies and move to safer locations
- People from coastal areas should be helped out and a quarantine zone should be made
- Fisherman shouldn't be allowed to enter the ocean.
