Before the discovery of "oil", "Saudi Arabia" was one of the "world's poorest economy" which relied on revenue through pilgrimage and agriculture to an extent. There was no infrastructure and most of the inhabitants were illiterate Bedouins with no proper sources of income. However, soon after the "discovery of oil", the country became one of the "largest producer of oil" in the world and developed economically as well politically at a "rapid rate", transforming the state of the country.
