Preparation of \bold{KMnO_{4}}:

The reaction between MnO_{2} and KOH forms MnO_{4}^{2-}.Then followed by electrolytic oxidation.

In this oxidation reaction , peroxodisulphate oxidizes the managanese ion to permanaganate ion.

The chemical reaction is a follows.

\bold{2Mn^{2+}+5S_{2}O_{8}^{2-}+8H_{2}O\rightarrow 2MnO_{4}^{-}+10SO_{4}^{2-}+16H^{+}}

The obtained potassium permanagante is present in the dark purple colored.
