how can reducing the burning of fossil fuels help to reduce acid rain

Fossil fuels release carbon dioxide when they burn, which adds to the greenhouse effect and increases global warming. So if we reduce burning fossil fuel carbon dioxide will not mix with rain and will not not make the rain water droplets acidic. Eventually helps in reducing acid rain

burning of fossil fuels like coal , petroleum etc produce sulphur and nitrogen which react with oxygen and are converted into their respective oxides: sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide which are soluble in water and form acids like sulphuric acid, nitric acid which come down as rain.so reducing the burning of fossil fuels help ti reduce acid rain.
