how can service activites help in the over all develpoment of tye country​

I'm taking that country as India.

Service activities or Tertiary activities has a very large share in the country's GDP. Tertiary sector is sector which connects both Primary and Tertiary sector. Tertiary sector basically provides services like transport, banking, trading, etc.

Without all of these services a country cannot develop easily.

For ex, we can take it's importance in Primary sector -:

Lets suppose you are a farmer. You want to grow tomatoes and sell them to earn a living. But, you don’t have the required skills. Yo don’t know how to grow tomato. In this case if you can call someone who can advice and guide you in this wouldn’t it be great. He will tell you how to grow tomato in a particular type of soil, what pesticides to use, how much water to give etc etc. This advice is services sector.

Now, you got advice which you fully followed and grew tomatoes which are healthy and nice and ready to sell. You pluck all tomatoes and want to carry the whole produce to sell in mandi. But you came to know that price of tomato is very less in market. You want to get the best price. You decided to wait until prices of tomato go up. But, if you keep tomatoes for long they’ll rot.

Now, wouldn’t it be great if you got a cold storage to store your tomatoes for long. By this way you can keep your produce and sell it when prices are good! This cold storage is tertiary sector.

Now, prices become normal. You want to sell now. You took out all your produce from cold storage and want to carry it to the mandi. But you have no vehicle to take all the produce safely.

Wouldn’t it be great if there is a person who will carry your produce to the market safely for some money .

Now after all these things finally it adds into our economy,

Because farmer produces well, sells well, so earns well. When he earns well he buys good machines (increase in GVA). This leads to better production and the loop continues.

Same is it with Secondary sector.
