The colour of scattered light depends upon the wavelength of light and size of scattering particles.
Light with higher wavelength is scattered less than light with lesser wavelength.
Also, if the size of the scattering particles is very fine, they scatter mainly light of shorter wavelength. If the size of scattering particles is larger, they scatter light of longer wavelength. If the size of scattering particles is very large, they scatter light of all the colours and appear white.
