How can solar wind affect life on earth?

Solar wind is the constant stream of charged particles flowing from the sun and through which the earth moves. We on earth can't notice it . The magnetosphere helps keep the charged particles from the surface .

With the advent of  communications and other satellites that revolves around the earth , a sufficient powerful solar wind can knock out the electronics of those satellites . Rarely it is so powerful that it can effect electronics on the surface of the earth and burns out electronic components .
