How can the EMF of the secondary coil be increased?

• I guess you are asking about induced EMF...
here are the 2 ways

•` U can increase the emf of secondary coil by increasing flux in it. to do that you have to increase the current in primary coil.
•` U can increase the emf of secondary coil by increasing number of turns of primary coil.

if you are talking about a coil, to augment EMF or L.(di/dt)

L = nϕ/i = n.B.a/i = n.μ.H.a/i =nμ(i/l).a/i = nμ (a/l)

case I : 
if we consider amps/sec. is fixed then either by increasing the area or by decreasing the length of the coil makes EMF higher..
case II : 
if we consider the ratio (a/l) constant for a fixed coil, by increasing the rate of change of current (amps/sec) makes EMF higher as well…
